Samara Jinks-Chang MD, MPH
Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Addiction/Adolescent Medicine Fellow
Samara Jinks-Chang is a boarded pediatrician completing subspecialty fellowship training in Adolescent Medicine and Addiction Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. There, her clinical time includes staffing the Johns Hopkins Center for Adolescent/Family Addiction Management Recovery and Early Intervention (CARE Clinic), which caters to youth age 12-26 with substance use disorders.
As an early-career addiction researcher with masters-level training in public health, her research also focuses on targeting family-focused prevention and early interventions to disrupt intergenerational cycles of substance use (SU). She participates in a NIDA-funded R25 program, Research in Addiction Medicine Scholars (RAMS), which incorporates professional development opportunities and research funding to support her work addressing substance use in adolescents and emerging adults.
In her free time, she enjoys attending live music shows, listening to wonky podcasts and watching NBA basketball with her husband and friends.
