I am clinician researcher board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Addiction Medicine. My passion is to conduct research in collaboration with youth, families, community members that reduces the risks related to substance use and ensure that youth can thrive. I have had funding from the National Institute of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute to conduct qualitative and quantitative studies exploring the impact of stigma on access to harm reduction and treatment, how to best engage family members in harm reduction, and to identify best practices for follow-up care after nonfatal overdose. I love to spend time with my husband and three kids riding bikes, cooking, and sitting on the couch watching movies.
