The Queer Eyes, Queer Lives photo exhibit showcased over 60 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 14-29 who participated in UBC research studies on drug use. Diving into the themes of identity, substance use, housing, and mental health, their photos offered a raw glimpse into how these youth navigate complex issues. Coordinated by researchers Christian Barborini and Trevor Goodyear, alongside the Substance Use Beyond the Binary Youth Action Committee, the exhibit highlighted the strength and resilience of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in Vancouver as they built meaningful lives amid adversity.
