Dr. Sara Jassemi (she/her) is an Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician in the Division of Adolescent Health and Medicine at BC Children’s Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of British Columbia (UBC). She completed medical school at UBC, pediatrics residency at the University of Calgary and Alberta Children’s Hospital, and adolescent medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children. Her clinical care focuses on mental health, eating disorders, substance use, somatization, sexual health, gender affirming care, and working alongside youth and families experiencing the effects of intergenerational trauma and/or marginalization. Her scholarly interests include medical education, quality improvement, and health equity. On the side, she enjoys cycling, soccer, and yoga.
